How do I know if I need a new water heater?

  • If the test holds pressure, that means it passed and your system is good to go! If it does not hold pressure that indicates the test failed, and it’s time to run a camera down the line to locate and inspect for any damages.
  • Rusty water color
  • Rotten egg odor
  • Odd noises such as popping or whining
  • Water leaks around the base of the unit
  • In some instances, your water heater can be repaired, however, if it is out of warranty, or over 10 years old, it may be best to replace the unit.
